Welcome to Orsa Hotel

Orsa hotell dates back to 1894 when, at the time, the Swedish king Oscar II himself inaugurated the hotel. It was an honourable time for the whole region.

We are devoted to a more personalized service rather then the more formal one you might receive at other hotels.

About Orsa

Orsa in general, is not a typically crowded place, there is lots of space for everyone. It can though be somewhat crowded at the hotel when there is a local dance or other forms of entertainment. Music is the key, not only for Orsa but also for the hotel itself. There are probably more musicians here per capita then in any other region in Sweden.
Don’t miss “orsayrorna” on Wednesdays in July. These are small well known musicfestivals set up by local musicians. Why Wednesdays? Nobody knows, it´s just the way it is.
Be sure to book in advance – a room might be hard to come by.
